The Moravian-Silesian region is one of the most dynamically developing regions in the Czech Republic. Currently, our country is experiencing investment inflows and economy growth. Economic analyses foresee our country to maintain long-term financial stability. Even last year the highest number of investment projects was directed to this region which simultaneously attracted the highest volume of investments (more than 54 billion Czech crowns).
Significant economic factors are constantly decreasing income taxes, state subsidies for foreign investors, relatively low costs and sufficient high qualified labor force (two technical universities in the Region and developed system of technical education).
The Region disposes of new industrial zones and prepares other projects and incentives which would be supported by both EU funds and the region. In the following period of 2007-2013 the region can draw financial means from the following subsidies.

Significant export article is the road barriers of which is Mittal Steel Ostrava the only manufacturer and the main supplier to the Czech and Slovak market.
